Sri Sentosa Coffee Shop, BM @ Dry Hokkien Mee

Chinese noodle : Dry Hokkien Mee
Location            : Taman Sentosa, 14000 Bukit Mertajam.

Another popular food among BM people is the Dry Hokkien Mee (or called as Hokkien Ta) at Sri Sentosa Coffee Shop which is opposite the Taman Sentosa and behind the City Seafood Restaurant. Need to go earlier because their business quite good.

The special things about the noodles are the noodle itself, which is self made by the stall owner, not the usual yellow mee which has a strong chemical smell that will spoil the taste entirely. And the preparation method is not the same as in Penang which is dark colour, only prawn soup is used.

Other ingredients include prawns, char seu, chicken feet and pork ribs (last 2 items upon request). Those pork ribs are cooked for a long time until soft and tender.

Besides the Hokkien Ta, some other recommended are wantan mee and chee cheong fun. Come early especially during weekend to avoid the huge crowd!
